Most people have heard of Reiki - a Universal energy - that is used for healing. It is a powerful force that is thought to be what Jesus utilized in His healings. We are honored and awed by this idea that we should be allowed to also use this wonderful energy. Then we begin to understand that the use of this energy was and is a right given to us for use on this plane of existence. Thoughts of saving Mankind and the World are a natural process as we begin to use this energy "for the highest good of all".
We go through many life changes on this chosen path; not all of these changes are pleasant. Lessons must be learned, the old patterns of thought evaluated, and adjustments made. At some point in our Reiki endeavors, we begin to lose faith as our ideas of healing don't appear to be working fast enough. We may even wander in our disparagement or look for other tools to make our efforts more potent. All this we go through in the name of Healing for the Highest Good of All.
Have we forgotten that we are part of the "All"? We want to so much to heal the world and the people in it that we forget about ourselves. We fool ourselves into believing that we have worked out our own issues. We busy ourselves with so many other things that we have no time to evaluate our own progress. Boastfulness and/or arrogance are not signs of proficiency either. These are ego-based responses to our own insecurities. A quiet and meditative knowing, a true heart-felt belief that this Reiki energy can work through us - that is what is necessary.
When we remember to work on ourselves on a regular basis, then we are more able to utilize this given energy efficiently. As we clear our own blocks, we become more effective at helping others with their blocks. We are all in need of continued healing in these times on this plane of existence, so let's make the best of what we are given.

Q: What is the difference between a New Moon and a Dark Moon?
A: In terms of astrological phasing, a New Moon is the time of the month when the crescent begins to wax toward Full phase. Relative to this, the Dark Moon is the moonless night of or before the actual time & degree of the Moon phasing from waning-New to waxing-Full. Dark Moon merely describes the moonless night, and New Moon describes that night after when the little sliver first reappears, brand New!

Matt's July Tour brings New Friends!!!!
Back in July many of you may recall that Matthew went on a road trip visiting clients to read for private parties, get reacquainted with old friends, and make some new ones. On that journey, he stopped just on the outer border of Las Vegas, Nevada near a little town called Henderson. There he explored a great wellness center called the Ganesha Center. He led a seminar on Palmistry, and offered private consultation sessions through Ganesha Center. So impressed and inspired by his lecture and private sessions, Ganesha Center has invited him to return for a full, two-day Palmistry Workshop, as well as availability for private consultations. There is also talk that The Universal Center's own Dream Interpreter - Cynthia Botsko - may join the expedition with Matthew. At the Ganesha Center, Cynthia will lead a small evening workshop on Dream Journaling. She will, likewise, be available for private consultations in the days following her workshop.
We are looking to return to the Ganesha Center the first weekend of October. For updates and details regarding these events, please check websites and calendars, emails and FaceBook.
